School-Home Connection
Never before has it been so easy to involve parents in their child's reading education. Through the creative use of the Internet, Headsprout Early Reading provides the opportunity to involve parents in their child's reading instruction in a way simply not possible in the past.

Headsprout Early Reading provides teachers three methods to include parents:

Print out individual performance reports
Teachers can print out individual performance reports for each of their learners. These reports can be sent home with the child, or discussed during teacher/parent conferences.

Automatically send individualized progress reports
Teachers can set the program to automatically send individualized progress reports to a parent's email account. Parents are able to track episodes completed and support their child's progress on a daily basis.

Allow program access from student's home
Teachers can arrange for a student to access the program from home. Students may complete their lessons at both home and school. Teachers have full access to all student data, whether the program was used at home or school. The program even provides the parent with a web-based report for their child so that they can easily track progress.

Each method can be used separately or together; the connection between school and home can truly be to enhance each child's reading success.
