Headsprout makes it easy for parents and teachers to collaborate in a child's reading education.
Schools that use Headsprout may:
Automatically send individualized progress reports home to parents
Teachers can set the program to automatically send individualized email progress reports to a parent's email account. Parents are able to track episodes completed, to see what their child has learned, and to help support their child's progress at home on a daily basis.
Allow students to access the program from home
Teachers can arrange for a student to access the program from home for all or part of the episodes. Students may complete their lessons at both home while school and teachers have full web-based progress report access to all student data, whether the program was used at home or school. For example, some schools elect to start Headsprout with access only at school, then allow middle episodes to be caught up at home, and then have the final episodes accessed only back at school. Headsprout is flexible to work with whatever allowance the school desires.
Each method can be used separately or together; the connection between home and school can truly enhance each child's reading success.
