- Learn many more "irregular" words
- Attain a potential reading vocabulary of more than 5,000 words
- Extend vocabulary and comprehension skills, including "fill-in-the-blank"
- Build reading fluency
- Practice reading with proper pace and intonation
- Prepare for the type of reading tests used in schools
