I received a KERNEL32.DLL, an Invalid Page Fault, or an Illegal operation error, what can I do?

For some users, the Macromedia Flash Plug-in may unexpectedly quit giving the error message "you have performed an illegal operation and the program will be shut down." Below are some possible reasons for this occurrence:
- Corrupt Flash Plug-in installation (Please visit Macromedia's Windows troubleshooting page)
- Outdated sound or video card drivers (see below)
Outdated
sound or video card drivers: Update Drivers
Check the video card manufacturer's Web site for
newer drivers, even if your card is relatively
new - the drivers that ship with video cards can
be a version or two old. Do this only after you
have uninstalled and reinstalled Macromedia Flash.
This step is especially important if you experience a freeze or crash when installing or using Flash Player. Right-click on your Desktop and choose Properties, Settings, Advanced , and Adapter to view the manufacturer's name. Refer to the manufacturer's web site to download drivers or for assistance with installing the latest drivers.
If this procedure does not work and you have consulted
Macromedia's Windows troubleshooting page, contact techsupport@headsprout.com.
